Bajaj Sonic
Bajaj motors, currently the second largest bike producers in the country but undoubtedly to become the leader very soon.
How and why? Well the magic formulae rests with Bajaj because they have gained supremacy in the upper segments of the bike with the launch of pulsar and the mid segment is managed by Bajaj Discover 135cc and also the XCD, and the most important executive segment has mostly been the favorite of Bajaj always with its bikes like Platina and CT 100 already doing really good in the market.
So, how does Bajaj plan to get more of market share? Simple, it releases one more bike in the segment which it is ruled by Bajaj itself! Stop guessing.
In a matter of months, Bajaj would launch SONIC in the range of 100 – 125 cc twin spark plug technology based engine.
The prominent features include 17” alloy wheels, an integrated head lights and instrument panel cluster, a special rear suspension with spring in spring type of arrangement, speculations are regarding the options to be given in context of a front disc brake and electric start.
What would surprise the other companies the most would be the shocking pricing the Bajaj groups plan to launch Bajaj Sonic at – Rs35000/- to Rs40000/-.
This could give a stiff competition to the Hero Hondas Passion which has undergone several makeovers like passion +, passion ++ and when Hero Honda could get a run for money it’s no use speaking of TVS Centra and Yamaha Libero or LML Freedom which would surely not survive a chance against the Bajaj Sonic which would stand high on styling and features both at a very reasonable price.
The interesting thing to look out for is how Bajaj Platina and Bajaj CT 100 would cope up with the competition from their own sibling.
