Honda India was formed in 1995 when Siel Ltd and Honda Motor Company, Japan joined forces. The main reason of the joining of the two companies was to provide Indians with Honda’s latest car models.
Honda India has a manufacturing unit spreading over 150 acres of land. This unit is located in Greater Noida and has been equipped with high quality equipment which if accounted for costs a total of Rs 450 cores.
This manufacturing plant has in the past produced 50,000 cars and this had increased to 100,000 units by 2007.
The company has plans of producing 150,000 units by the end of 2010. It presently has 103 facilities in 60 cities across the country and this is expected to rise as the demand of its products increase.
Honda’s Growth

This company grew by 14% from the year 2005-2006 and has sold around 42, 727 units in India. To help the company grow, the management has invested over Rs 800 and expect this to boost growth up to 44%.
