You can easily spot a Deere product because it has a unique green and yellow color scheme.

The company’s slogan states “nothing runs like a Deere” and it has a deer animal logo. John Deere has branches in 27 countries and these include Turkey, Australia, Canada, China, India and Mexico to name a few.

Four Business Segments
This company has four major segments that work on different operations. The Agriculture and Equipment segment is the world’s leading producer of farm equipment.

The company is familiar with all the equipment and services needed by farmers and as a result it produces a complete line of farming products through the company’s premier dealer network.

It also has a consumer and commercial equipment sector which manufactures and markets mowers, tractors, outdoor power products and other golf course equipment. For farmers, this company segment offers them irrigation and nursery supplies. This segment also offers services to landscapers. The construction and forestry segment and been named the worlds producer of forestry and construction equipment.

John Deere also has a credit segment in over 17 countries. They provide retail and wholesale leasing financial assistance to persons who cannot pay the full amount for the equipment in one sitting. Therefore this segment gives farmers loans, financial assistance for an agriculture business, debt and equity financing, crop insurance and project expertise on the wind energy area.

This company provides backhoe loader technology to the Telco construction equipment company. This Telco Company which is located in India is a subsidiary of Tata group. On March 2007, John Deere received an award for its green efforts.
