New Holland Fiat India is a wholly owned subsidiary of CNH Global, the World’s leading Agricultural Equipment Company, in turn is a majority owned subsidiary of Fiat Group.

New Holland Tractors India is located in the Greater Noida District of Uttar Pradesh, on 60 acres and has an annual production capacity of 30,000 units.

Construction of this manufacturing plant started in 1997 and is valued at $USD 15bn

Though the new state of the art production plant in Uttar Pardesh was only completed in 1999, New Holland tractors have been rolling off Indian assembly lines since 1981. Since then, this leading New Holland India has produced more than 100,000 tractors.

In 2008 alone, New Holland Fiat India manufactured more than 23,000 tractors, not only for the Indian domestic market, but also for export.

This plant has more than 700 employees, with all production staff being properly technically trained. Many of these staff members have also received training in other New Holland plants outside of India to ensure standardisation of quality products in all New Holland plants across the globe.

Business Growth and Export Market
India has proved to be an excellent centre for New Holland as this office has been registering growth ever since it entered India, with the first few years seeing it register 5% of the market share. In 2007, this company continued to prove its leadership in the Indian automobile industry as it generated sales revenues of more than Euro 186.4 billion.

In 2008, despite a depressed economy the company was still able to register a 38% growth compared to the previous year, further increasing its market share. The company has more than 350 dealers across India and is working consistently to increase its presence in the eastern and southern states of India.

Exports constitute for approximately 30% of New Holland Fiat India’s revenues.
Today fully built tractors assembled in this new state of the art plant are being exported to more than 51countries in Asia the Middle East, Africa, New Zealand, Australia, North America, and Latin America. New Holland Fiat India will seek to improve on the plant efficiency and utilisation rather than adding capacity. The company also seeks to ward off competition by developing their current products and strengthening those tractor market segments where they do not have a strong presence.
