TVS Motors is a subsidiary and the flagship company of TVS Group. In the financial year 2007-2008, TVS Motor Company had an annual turnover of more than $US 1 billion.

The TVS Group has over thirty companies to its name and employees over 40,000 people worldwide and has an annual turnover of more than $US 4 billion.

This Indian automobile company is also the third largest manufacture of motorcycles in India and one of the top ten in the world.

TVS Group was established in 1911 and named after its founder Shri. T. V. Sundaram Iyengar.

TVS Motors commands a strong presence in the production of motorcycles, auto components, heavy commercial vehicle distribution and passenger cars. They also have an interest in computer accessories. This leading automobile company has four manufacturing plants.

One in Himachal Pradesh in Northern India, one in Hosur and another in Mysore, both of them in Southern India. They fourth plant is in Indonesia. From these four manufacturing plants, TVS has a production capacity of 2.5 million units annually.
