Eye Care
Eye care is essential as eyes are the indication of sound health. Neglecting eyes will get exhibited.
The main problem is dark circles that form under the eye due to various reasons. This becomes apparent as people become older.
The sun damage on the facial skin makes the skin below the eye wrinkled and thinner.
The skin is darker below the eyes and hence any changes are exhibited immediately. The dark circles may be hereditary or hormonal changes.
They are caused due to fat bulges and the only effective approach is to undergo cosmetic surgery. Taking vitamin C in good quantities is essential to reduce circles under the eye. Allergies, hereditary or fatigue or even lack of sleep highlights the problem of dark circles beneath the eyes.
Lack of sleep, watching computers, television and smoking results in dark circles under the eyes. Retention of fluid also results in swollen eyes. The best eye care can be taken by dipping cotton pad overnight in water and in the morning this water can be splashed on the eyes.
Similarly, dipping a cotton pad in rose water with a mix of castor oil and placing it on the eyelids for few minutes reduces the eye burns. Placing cotton pad in tea solution that is cold for an hour and then placing above the eyelids for 15 minutes gives total relaxation.
Proper eye care should be taken during pregnancy, menstruation and thyroid. Unnecessary worries and lack of proper diet should be averted. Keep the feet raised than the head. Slowly massage almond oil on the areas beneath the eyes prior to bed.
Place a piece of potato or cucumber for few minutes. Eat iron, proteins and vitamin rich food. Use cucumber and lemon juice to reduce circles and sleep well. Similarly, drinking lots of water is effective. Carrots and carrot juices also are very good to be taken as diet.
Exercising for eye care is a must. Close the eyes gently using the base of the palm and cupped palms. Press gently and open as well as shut the eyes ten times a day. This relaxes even the tired eyes. Focus an object within a small distance for some time and then divert the attention and once again focus the same object.
Move the eyes in all the directions keeping the head erect. The eyes should move to the right, left, up and down at least 10 times a day. Similarly, breathe normally, look at the nose bridge and relax. Such exercises relax the eyes and release the tension and stress. Puffy eyes are due to lack of water and hence drink plenty of water.
