Hand Care
Beauty care does not revolve only on the face; it involves taking care of hands, feet and body as well.
Beauty regimens are focused mainly towards the face and hence the hands are totally neglected.
In fact, the hands are the visible part of the body and hands are used for all the everyday tasks. Essential hand care is a must to enhance the body care.
As the hands are the most exposed parts of the body next to face, adequate care should be taken as hands take all the abuses of the weather from time on and again.
Hands as well require extra attention to look good. Hands should be cleansed using gentle glycerin so that it exfoliates slowly. Using a soap that has the base or clay or oatmeal is suitable, but for a dry hand using super fatted soap is effective.
Moisturizing twice after washing or doing dishes is of immense help as it prevents chaps or cracks. The moisturizing also is susceptible to infection. Exposure to sun also leads to brown spots and wrinkling. Applying SPF that is effective in preventing sunrays directly is effective and this is best applied to the back of hands.
Hand care plays a vital role and this can be done by adding almond oil to the dishwater. Wearing gloves while cleaning dishes is also ideal, but after washing, lotions such as Nivea should be applied on the hands to keep them soft. Using mild dish soap will also protect the hands to a great extent.
Weather as well damages the hands. During winters, it is recommended to put lotion on the hands prior to slipping on the gloves on the hands. Washing hands with warm water using a coarse cloth is useful. But when the hands are wet, one spoon of olive oil and honey should be rubbed over the hands.
Cover the hands with some plastic bag or gloves so that the mixture on the hands is completely absorbed. After some time wash the hands and find the desired smooth hands.
Another tip for proper hand care is that in a cup of warm milk soak for five minutes. This will give adequate strength to the nails and in addition to this it also hydrates the skin as milk has natural and lactic acids.
As the hand skin gets into contact with various elements such as hot water, detergents and harsh sun, they sag and look chapped quickly. The skin on the back of the hands is soft and is prone to wrinkling. This can be avoided by eating a balanced diet so that the nails retain the shine. A moisturizing cream should be applied and protect by wearing gloves while washing and gardening.
