Khan Richardson Helen Jairag was born in the year 1939 on October 21 in Burma her father is an Anglo Indian while the mother is a Burmese that makes Helen Anglo/Burmese origin.

The family moved to Mumbai city in the year 1943 so Helen had to quit studying to help her parents and family and her career began when a family friend who is an actress and known as Cukoo came in aid and helped Helen to participate in the films “Shabistan” and “Awaara” in the year 1951 as a chorus dancer.

Start Of Her Acting Career
In the year 1958 she had her first outstanding performance in the film “Howrah Bridge” that became a hit movie at that moment, she became famous and very popular after she performed as a cabaret dancer and a vamp in many more coming films.

She was known as the queen in Cabaret, her heroin roles in the different films she did were not her weaknesses but the little roles she did kept her occupied through out the 1960s.
