Hrithik Roshan is one of the most popular actors in Bollywood who is known for his enchanting personality. He made his appearance as a child artist in some films.
Finally he made his debut in Bollywood with film, Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai, alongside Amisha Patel, in 1999. It was the movie that witnessed huge commercial success and declared a musical blockbuster.
After that Hrithik made his appearance in various other films like Koi Mil Gaya, Lakshya, Krrish, Dhoom 2, Luck By Chance, and many more.
He won Filmfare Best Male Debut Award and Filmfare Best Actor Award for his notable performance in the movie. Besides that he got several other prestigious awards.
Early Life:
Hrithik Roshan was born on January 10, 1974 in Mumbai, India. He belongs to a filmy background family as his father named Rakesh Roshan is the most popular Hindi film producer and director.
Besides that his uncle Rajesh Roshan is a veteran music director. On the other hand his mother, Pinky is the daughter of J. Om Prakash, a film producer and director.
Hrithik attended Bombay Scottish School to complete his schooling. Later on, he went to Sydenham College and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce. He is married to Suzanne Roshan, who own Suzanne Roshan's House of Design
Filmy Career:
Hrithik Roshan appeared as a child artist in 1980’s most popular film, Aasha, where he performed in a dance sequence. After that he again appeared as a child artist in film, Aap Ke Deewane and Bhagwan Dada. Besides that he assisted his father in films, Karan Arjun and Koyla.
Hrithik, eventually made his debut with film, Kaho Na Pyar Hai, directed and produced by his father, in 2000. The film became huge hit at the box office and he became super star overnight.
He is the first actor who got both Filmfare Best Actor Award and Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for the debut film. After that he did two movies Mission Kashmir and Fiza, both are counted as a flop films, got below average box office rating.
He then slated to be a character for Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, alongwith Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor, in 2001 and earned great acclamation for his wonderful performance as a supporting actor. After this movie he made is appearance in some other movies like Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, Aap Mujhe Achhe Lagne Lage. But all such movies became fail to entertain the audience.
Hrithik once again made his comeback with a science-fiction film Koi Mil Gaya, directed by Rakesh Roshan in 2003 and received Filmfare Best Actor Award and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor in 2003. He recently appeared in Zindagi Na Mile Dobara in 2011.
His upcoming flicks are Agneepath and Krrish 2.
