Personal Life
Karishma was born on June 25, 1974 to Randhir Kapoor and Babita, who are both actors, her younger sister Kareena is also an actress, and it therefore goes without say that Karishma comes from a family of actors.

She attended school at the Cathedral and John Cannon School, she got married in 2003. In 2005, karishma had a daughter already in her marriage.

Film career
Her first film release was in 1991,she further acted in a number of movies in 1992 and 1993 that didn’t make it quite well but in 1995,karishma released ten films which catered some success, for instance ‘’Khuddar’’ and ‘’Raja Babu’’, which hit industry in a special way.

Successful years of her career
Karishma won her first film fare best actress in 1996 with her performance in ‘’Raja Hindustani’’. In 1997,’’Dil To Pagal Hai’’ was a great shot, which brought in success for the bollywood actress, it gave her the film fare best supporting actress award.

Karishma went off from the limelight in 1998 but returned in 1999 with great hits, she for instance appeared in the comedy ‘’Biwi No 1’’ as well as other films at that time.

In 2000 the bollywood actress released yet another hit, ’’Fiza’’ which won her the film fare best actress award. By this time, she was already a hot celebrity in India.

Current Career
In the early 2000s, the hot celebrity in India made great moves. She won an award for in 2001 and further received a critical acclaim for the ‘’Shakti’’, this was in 2002.

Since then, the bollywood celebrity has done acting but with small roles, she currently appeared as a judge in a dance show. The bottom line is that Karishma stands out to be a hot celebrity in India.
