Koena Mitra was born in 1979 on 7th, January in India at a place called Kolkata; she even has a degree of psychology from Kolkata.

She was naturally talented as a dancer and she trained as a craft for many years, Koena Mitra was fluent in Bengali, she was able to speak Hindi and English.

Koena Mitra participated for twelve years with Mamta Shankar’s ballet troupe which was very interesting.

Koena Mitra won the Gladrags Mega Model contest in 2002 which launched her modeling career. She also participated in advertisement for the brands Maruta Alto, Mirinda and Clinic All Clear. Koena Mitra participated in hot celebrity India videos like Stereo Nations Ishq and Jassis Channo.

Film Career
In 2002 Koena Mitra received her first award as a Bollywood celebrity in an item number Khullam Khulla in Gopal Varma’s Road. Her dance training made her perform well in this role.

Koena Mitra had a break of two years, and after that break she got her next role in Musafir. In 2002 she participated in Insan which did not make a large splash. Koena Mitra received recognition in Ek Khiladi Haseena with Fardeen Khan, at the same year she got a guest role in David Dhawans Shaadi No.1.

In 2006 she participated in Sangeeta Sivans Apna Sapna Money and unfortunately this movie did not do well. In 2007 Koena Mitra appeared in a hit movie Heyy Babyy in a song sequence.

In 2008 she participated in Anant Mahadevans as an Anamika which was a remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rebecca, but this play did not do very well like other movies that she had participated.

Koena Mitra has a few projects that are scheduled for release in 2009.she has been a hot celebrity India and she has been giving many interviews about her career and her life.
