Naseeruddin Shah
Naseeruddin Shah, if I call him bundle of talent then it won;t be wrong. He is very reputed film star and famous not only in India but all over the world. India is really lucky to have him on the Indian soil.
Born on July 20th, 1950,in Barabanki Uttar Pradesh, he is graduated in Arts stream from Aligarh Muslim University and after that he attended national school of drama in Delhi. His contribution in film industry is tremendous.
He always chose to do some mature role in very early stage of his career. Some examples of his outstanding works are Nishant, Aakrosh, Mandi, Ardh Satya, katha and many more the list doesn't end here. One of his classic movie is Masoom that was shot in St. Joseph college in Nainital. From 1980 he became really active in mainstream cinema and did some great roles and worked with many top actors of that time.
He has also done some multi starrer film like karma where he got a chance to work with Dilip kumar who was really very big name in the industry at that time. In Mohra he played negative role and that was also his 100th movie. He has one many critically acclaimed award. He was very keen on playing role of Gandhi that he actually got to do in Kamal Hasan's 'Hey Ram', this movie was made from the assailants point of view. A” Wednesday” was a movie for which he bagged many awards and appreciations.
He has also done many international projects as he believed that art knows no boundary like, Monsoon Wedding, the league of extraordinary gentlemen. He also did short cameo in a Pakistani movie Khuda Ke Lie by Shoaib Mansoor. He has done loads of art movies, his performances were mind blowing in these films.
He has done variety of roles and plays in his entire life and still doing class work. He was also the first of several actor who actually played role of a narrator in the popular audiobook series for “kids karadi tales”, he has also narrated film 'Paheli' which was also the Indian entry to the 2006 academy awards. He has been awarded the life membership of International Film and Television club of Asian Academy of Film and Television.
He was was honored with the Padma Bhushan in 2003 by the Government of India for his tremendous contribution towards Indian Cinema.
He has also directed a movie named “Yun Hota to Kya Hota”. His personal life is also going fantastic, his first wife was named Manara Sikri after her demise he married Indian actress Ratna Pathak Shah in 1982. he has two sons from second marriage and one daughter from his first wife.
A person who is known by the whole world for his brilliant performances in many nationally and internationally acclaimed movies. His talent knows no boundary and he believed that there is not too much difference in mainstream cinema and art movies.
