Raakhee Gulzah an Indian Bollywood actress was born on 15th August 1947 in West Bengal eastern India.

Personal life
Raakhee hails from a customary family, which means unlike most of the Bengali beauties Raakhee did not have any acting background and most people were surprised to see the bollywood actress succeed as it was never easy to act in a big film industry if you never had roots with people.

Career and Marriage
Raakhee’s career span from the late 1960s to the year 2003 as her talent as an actress was recognized by the producer who was also an actor Sunil Dutt and caste Raakhee in the movie Reshma Aur Shera.

She did not get much attention that she needed in that movie but, she kept playing minor roles in other movies and that is why some of the presently established actress like Hema Malini proved to be costly for Raakhee.

Raakhee was married to Ajoy Biswas who was film producer and a journalist which seemed to open the doors or Raakhee’s career. Even though her husband did not select her in the movies that were casted Raakhee’s hope never diminished and Rajashri chose her in one of the movies became a hit of which her fame led to the husband to divorce her of which did not hinder her acting career.

Raakhee’s fame rose in 1971 she played a double role and ever since she has starred most of the Hindi blockbuster films. She re-married one of the filmmakers Gulzar but unfortunately this marriage did not seem to work. She continued with acting of which Raakhee is the mother of most actors since later 90s.

Raakhee acted the last film in the year 2003 of which she has not appeared in any film since. She has one child after having the first divorce at the age of 18 years and since she is one the respected people in the industry of film; Raakhee has won three filmfare acting awards. She has acted with all her passion for over 30 years.
