Family
Rakhi Sawant was an innocent scion of marathi family of hindu religion in Mumbai. Her father was an assistance commissioner of police attached to Mumbai police.

She is with her brother by the name Rakesh as well as sister by the name Jaya. She studied in Goklibai School in Vile Parle and studied arts at Mithibai college family.

Career
Rakhi Sawant made her debut opposite by playing along with Govinda in Joru ka Gulam and auditioned four times before winning before winning success in Mohabbat hai Mirchi in a movie in the year 2003.
