Ranbir Kapoor is a young and charming Bollywood actor who entered into acting with film Saawariya in 2007 and won Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut and praised by audience for his unmatched talent.

After this movie, he was slated to be different characters for many movies. Moreover, he gave new dimension to his career by performing well in two blockbuster movies Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and achieved huge recognition.

Early Life:

Ranbir Kapoor was born on September 28, 1982, in Mumbai, India. He is the son of veteran actor Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapor, an actress. He has a sister named, Ridhima Kapoor, recently tied the knot. He is a grandson of Pirthivi Raj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor, and Shammi Kapoor.

His cousin, Karishma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor are the most successful actress in Hind films. He completed his schooling from Bombay Scottish School and attended Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, in New Delhi.

Filmy Career:

Ranbir Kapoor made his debut in Hindi film with Saawariya, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali in 2007. Before making his debut he assisted Sanjay with Sonam Kapoor for his movie Black in 2005. Eventually he got a great opportunity to appear alongside Sonam in Saawariya that earned mixed response at box office. Ranbir especially got great appreciation for his acting and awarded with Filmfare Best Male Debut Award.

After that he appeared in a romantic flick Bachna Ae Hasino, co-starring Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba and Deepika Padukone, in 2008. It was a romantic comedy film that earned huge box office success made him star. He then appeared in Wake Up Sid, a Karan Johar’s movie, and earned huge acclamation for his notable performance.

Ranbir achieved great success with Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, alongside Katrina Kaif, in 2009. The film was promulgated a musically blockbuster that won the heart of people by offering a different kind of story and well composed music. After that he was slated to be a character of a salesman in a film, Rocket Singh in the same year. However the film got average success.


He then did Prakash Jha’s Raajneti as Samar Pratap, in 2010. It was a multi starrer film that earned major box office success. His most recent movie is Anjaana Anjaani, alongside Priyanka Chopra. Besides that his upcoming projects are Rockstar and Barfee.
