She got an offer in the process and successfully made her debut in the film career. Rimi sen was born on September 21st of 1981 in Kolkata. She was also christened as Shubhomitra Sen.

Rimi sen had a schooling in Bidya Bharti Girl’s High School. She was a part of Aloka Kanungo’s group of dance while she was performing in Odissi.
She was offered a role in Hungama in 2003. Rimi sen first role was Anjali in Hungama 2005. After working with Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in Baghban she had a very good role in Dhoom 2006 as a wife of Abhishek Bachchan with a name Sweety.
