Shabana Azmi

Shabana Azmi was born on 18/11/1950 in New Delhi in India. Since she joined acting, she has not showed signs of going back.

Shabana azmi is a Muslim by birth and family in general. All her two parents are renowned poet and actress on the live stage.

Education
Shabana Azmi undertook her psychology degree at St Xavier’s college in Mumbai. She also took a course in acting at film and television institute also in India coming out as a top candidate.

Career
Shabana Azmi came on stage with her movie Shyam Benegal’s Ankur in 1974. this was much of art than the action based films we love to watch. Shabana Azmi achieved positive comments with her acting roles and this calumniated in her winning national awards making her India’s’ bollywood actress..

The film Godmother won her the national award in 1999 making her tally of awards to five. With such notable films like junoon of 1978 and Susman of 1986 transformed Shabana Azmi to an accomplished bollywood celebrity.

Personal life
She initially worked with renowned film director Shekhar Kapur but on the contrary ended up marrying Javed Akhtar who was a lyricist and writer on 9/12/1984. Note that this was her second marriage, her first being to Honey Irani a script writer too.

Shabana Azmi is indeed an all round actress whose rise to stardom is still very bright.
