Sharmila Tagore was born on 8/12/1946 in Bengal, India.

She has changed her live to Begum Ayesha sultana and has also won a number of film awards and Filmfare awards too for her stage performances.

Sharmila Tagore has headed Indian film censor board and adds to her great achievement as Bollywood celebrity, she was chosen as UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Early life
She is the daughter to Gitindranath Tagore the former general manager with British India Company. Sharmila Tagore the bollywood actress was born in a Bengali Brahmo family in lower Hygerrabad in India.

Career
Her career started in 1959 when she took part in Satyajit Ray film known as Apur Sansar at the age of 14years. Sharmila Tagore role was the unlucky bride in the film. With little experience in acting, she was helped by her partners notably ray on how best she could do good acting scenes.

Sharmila Tagore easily established herself as one of the upcoming actresses in Kashmir ki kali film in 1964 when it was hot all over India. On the road to become the best bollywood actress of the time, she was termed as hot celebrity in India as she starred in an evening in Paris film in1967 and Aradhana movie in 1969.

She has produced her own stuff which includes Vidhu Vinod Cohpra film. The release of the royal guard has true son and mother relationship at heart hence blends well with her modest bollywood celebrity. Sharmila Tagore has had her well won awards on view in her hall room and contains the 2004 national film award as the best supporting film actress in Abar Aranye.

Personal life
In her dear and romantic life, she married Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi with conversion to Muslim faith. Sharmila Tagore claimed the Muslim name after this timely conversion and so far they are blessed with three beautiful children; she dearly ends up to be among the hot celebrities in India.
