Personal Information

Sohail Khan is popularly known as a writer, producer and actor. He is a younger brother of Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan.

He established his own production house Sohail Khan Productions and produced many films under this banner. He is known for some superhit films like Lakeer – forbidden Lines, Krishna Cottage, Maine Pyaar Kyu Kiya, Auzaar, Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya, and Main Aurr Mrs Khanna.
Early Life

Sohail Khan was born on December 20, 1970 in Mumbai Maharashtra in the family of well known screenplay writer Salim Khan and Salma, who belongs to a Hindu family and having maiden name Sushila Charak. Besides, his stepmother Halen is a famous Bollywood actress and dancer.

Sohail is the brother of Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan. He has two sisters named Alvira Khan, married Atul Agnihotri, and Arpita. He married Seema Sachdev and the couple have two kids named Nirvaan and Yohan.

Career

Sohail Khan started his career as a film director and made his directorial debut with film Auzaar, an action thriller, in 1977. The film starred Salman Khan and Sanjay Kapoor and became superhit at the box office and his excellent work also got huge appreciation by people.

He then directed another film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, starred Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan. It was another superhit movie by Sohail Khan that made him a popular director in Bollywood.

Sohail came with Hello Brother in 1999 under the banner of G.S. Entertainment, but the film could not do better and became flop at the box office.

After that he made acting debut with film Maine Dil Tujhko Diya in 2002 and did wonderful performance. He again made his appearance in Maine Pyaar Kyu Kiya, co-starred Salman Khan, and played a comic role. Besides, he produced many films like Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, Hello Brother, I-Proud To Be an Indian, Lucky: No Time for Love, Partner and Ready. Moreover, his upcoming project is Sher Khan this will be released in 2012.
