Christmas Reindeer
Christmas has its own tradition which has been talked about for ages and would be the same all through out.
We have all grown up listening to various stories related to the Christmas festival and the birth of Jesus Christ.
Christmas Reindeer forms a very integral part of the Christmas folklore.
It is said and believed that Santa Clause delivers gifts all across the world flying high on his sleigh driven by a team of reindeer.
The 1823 poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas” first stated the names of the reindeer.
They were said to be Blixem, Sunder, Comet and Cupid, Prancer and Vixen and Dasher and Dancer. Following this was the all time famous Christmas Song, “Rudolph the Red – Nosed Reindeer” which immortalized the connection of Christmas and Christmas Reindeer.
If we look back in the history we would find various stories of reindeer. They were said to roam around the majestic regions of Europe and North America.
We all celebrate the Christmas with a remembrance of the reindeer. The Christmas tree and the other household decorations are simply incomplete without the depiction of Santa and his team of Christmas Reindeer.
Although reindeer is not found in today’s world, it still and will always have its presence felt especially during the Christmas season.
Christmas Cakes, Christmas Candies, Christmas tree, Christmas dresses, Christmas Cards – you name any of the popularly used items in this festive season and you can bet that there would be the special mention or depiction of Christmas Reindeer.
Reindeer are very social animal. They are said and believed to have the ability to communicate with humans. They are said to fly around the world.
This lovely creature would always be remembered by us every time we plan for our Christmas celebration. Ask you kid if he knows what a Christmas Reindeer is and you are sure to get a positive answer!
