China Trust Commercial Bank is one of the leading private sector banks in Taiwan. Origin of this bank can be traced to 1966 when China Securities Investment Corporation (CSIC) was established.

The main purpose of creating CSIC was to enable the landowners to trade their stocks that were given to them as compensation towards the lands taken from them for free distribution for poor farmers.

In 1971 the name was changed to China Trust Investment Co. Ltd and subsequently in 1992 it got its present name as China Trust Commercial Bank.

This prominent bank has played a major role in Taiwan’s economy. Today it operates in various cities across the world such as New York, London, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta, New Delhi and Hanoi.
