Sony Ericsson is a joint venture by Sony, a popular Japanese electronic company and the Swedish telecommunication giant, Ericsson, was established on 1, 2001.
After entering into joint venture, both companies have stopped to manufacturing their own mobile phones and emphasize to introduce new models, equipped with some latest multimedia features and digital photography and led to release several models, which had colour screen and digital camera and various multimedia features.
However the company decided to stop making CDMA (Code division multiple access) in 2002 and focused on GSM, but Sony continued to making it for Japanese market.
The T610 model is relevant for the company, as it paved the way for the Sony Ericsson to recover in the world mobile phone markets. P800 phone was another successful model by Sony Ericsson, and following this it has introduced P900.
In 2004, the famous mobile company introduced P910, contains latest multiple features like broad e-mail support, dazzling screen, and quadruple memory.
Another model K750i was launched by the Sony Ericsson on March 1, 2005, was first walkman mobile phone, with 2 megapixel camera and 30 hours of music playback. With 5 Megapixel camera, K850i was announced by the company in 2008. Sony Ericsson then launched another famous model named Satio with 12 MP camera, on May 28, 2009.
Sony Ericsson focused on six large categories such as Walkman-branded W series, Cyber-shot-brand, BRAVIA-branded line of phones, the XPERIA range of mobile phones, and the GreenHeart range of mobile phones
