Andhra Pradesh a vast and varied
state, rich in culture, Heritage, natural and human resources,
now offers attractive investment opportunities to private

Andhra Pradesh has it all: beaches, hills,
wildlife & forests, forts, temples, a large number of
Buddhist sites, bird sanctuaries and much more. A host of
modern tourist facilities envisaged makes Andhra Pradesh
an irresistible tourist destination. The Government of Andhra
Pradesh has adopted an investor-friendly, open-door policy
for the investor with the state Tourism Promotion Board,
a one-stop clearance body headed by the Chief Minister.
The government is setting up two companies: one to raise
capital for tourism projects and the other, to facilitate
joint ventures. Investors are assured of a cooperative Government
and transparent administration.
The Andhra Pradesh Vision 2020 Document has identified tourism
as a major thrust area for development aiming to raise the
annual international tourist traffic from about 1 lakh to
28 lakh by 2020 and domestic tourist traffic from about
4 crore currently to 6.6 crore by 2020.
Specific project reports have been prepared
by world renowned consultants such as KPMG, WTO (world Tourism
Organization), Charles Correa Associates, PKF World wide,
EDAW and Vastu Shilpa.
The State has Been divided into 6 major tourist zones: Hyderabad,
Visakhapatnam, Warangal, Nagarjunasagar,Vijayawada and Tirupathi.

Convention Centre & Golf Course
Project Overview
An Integrated Convention Centre and Golf
Course Complex is proposed under the project. The key components
of the project include:
Convention Centre
A Convention Centre with a plenary hall
of a capacity of 3000 - 5000 people, is
proposed with:
Multiple halls of varying sizes
Breakway rooms and seating flexibility
State-of-the-art audio-visual and other
sophisticated equipment
Secretarial facilities
Ample exhibition facilities
Cafeterias and restaurants
State-of-the-art hospitality complexes
of varying standards
Adequate parking space (partly for public
use) and other comprehensive support services.
Hotel - A state-of-the-art Hotels is
envisaged, that would be a blend of business and pleasure.
Golf Course & Housing
An 18 hole International Championship
Pro- Golf course, adorned with plush Villas and premium
Residential Facilities to host international golf events.
Location
The Government is offering 250 acres
of prime land for the Golf course & Villas near Hyderabad
at Manikonda village, Rajendra Nagar Mandal, R.R. District
adjacent to Indian School of Business.
Convention Centre Hotel to be developed in the NAC grounds
Development Plan
The project cost is estimated at about
Rs.750 crores.
Project Objective
In line with the Vision 2020, tourism
infrastructure is being developed in the State. The project
is being developed with the objective of providing recreational
facilities of international standards in Andhra Pradesh.
Implementation Schedule
The implementation schedule will be crystallised
in consultation with the Strategic Investor.
Current Status
Government of Andhra Pradesh has
assigned Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation
Limited, (APIIC) to undertake the project development.
MoU signed between APIIC & M/s Emaar Properties PJSC,
Dubai on November 06, 2002. Tripartite agreement between
APIIC, M/s Emaar Properties PJSC & HITEX being finalized.
