If you want to get away from it all, take a break and head out to India and be enthralled by joining a 13-day tour. This trip will first take you to Kovalum where you will be charmed by its azure beaches, palm groves sheltered by a natural bay for 3 days.
Here, you can just laze around getting that great tan, swimming, do yoga or Ayurvedic rejuvenation or even herbal body toning massages. While in Kerala, you will also go on an excursion to Trivandrum and Kanvakumari where you explore temples and museums.
This trip will then take you to Perivar, famous for Asian elephants and other indigenous animals, with the tiger as the main predator in the Perivar Tiger Reserve. A boat ride on the man-made Perivar Lake is the highlight of your stay.
Then you will be driven to Kumarakom, a quaint backwater destination where you can wander around at your leisure, being enchanted by its rich flora and fauna.
The best part of your tour to Kumarakom is a night spent on a houseboat or rice barge, where you leisurely pass through small villages, visiting local markets, marveling at craftsmen busy in the centuries-old boat making tradition while being served with authentic Kerala cuisine onboard the houseboat.
You will then disembark in Allepey where you will be driven to Munnar, an enchanting place with a spicy scent permeating its cool air and undulating tea plantations.
You may explore this valley and marvel at its exotic flora and fauna thriving in its wildlife sanctuaries at your own pace, or take a tour to one of its spice plantations or tea gardens. Your Kerala tour will then take you to Cochin, where you will be greeted by the spectacle of its harbor, rich in the history of trading which started before Rome was built. Your tour will end in Cochin.
