Issue of New Passport - General Guidelines

New Passport & Additional Booklet

Late renewal of Passport (After expiry of more than 11 years from date of issue)

1. Application form for New Passport-EAP(P)-1

2. Affidavit (Affidavit-1)

5. Six latest identical colour photographs in frontal pose size 35 mm X 45 mm

6. Fees SR 195/- (SR155 + SR 40)

(The passport can be renewed upto one year after the expiry of ten years period without any additional fee.)
Passport to Children under 18 years of age
(1) Application form - EAP (1);

(2) Current Passport;

(3) Copy of Passport & Iqama

(4) Six latest identical colour photographs size 35 mm x 45 mm

(5) Fees and validity of Passports to children :

Children who are 15 years or older at the time of application :
A passport valid for 10 years will be issued on payment of SR 155/-.

Children who are less than 15 years of age at the time of application :
A passport valid for 5 years or till such time as the child attain 18 years of age, whichever is earlier, will be issued on payment of SR 95/-.

Important

Note : THE CHILD SHOULD BE PHYSICALLY PRESENT IN THE KINGDOM AT THE TIME OF SEEKING PASSPORT SERVICE. Under no circumstances should the parent(s) try to obtain passport service for a child who is not present in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Registration of New Born child

The birth of every child born in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Indian parent(s) is required to be registered with either the Embassy of India, Riyadh or Consulate General of India, Jeddah depending upon under whose jurisdiction child’s place of birth falls. The birth of children born in Jeddah, Makkah, Abha, Al Baha, Bisha, Najran, Gizan, Tabuk, Madinah, Taif, Yanbu and nearby areas is required to be registered with the Consulate General of India, Jeddah. A Birth Certificate is issued by this Office to the child after registering his/her name as an Indian national.

Issue of separate Passport to New Born

Every child who is born to Indian parent(s) in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is issued a separate Passport. It is not possible to include the child’s name in the Passport of mother/ father/ brother/ sister.

The following documents are required to be submitted for Birth Registration & Separate Passport for the new born.

1. Application form – EAP(1)

2. Thumb impression of child in the specimen signature box

3. Current Passport of mother or father

4. Copy of Passport of mother and father

5. Copy of Iqama of mother or father

6. Six latest identical colour photographs of 35 mm x 45 mm

7. Birth Registration form(Format I)

signed by both parents.

8. Birth Certificate form(Format II)

In case signature of one of the parents cannot be obtained, an affidavit (Affidavit-2) is required to be submitted by the parent who is applying for the child's passport;

9. Copy of birth certificate issued by the Saudi Ministry of Civil Affairs along with a typed English translation;

10. Fees : SR80 + SR 95.

11. Children born after 1996, whose parents are of two different nationalities, one being Indian, can be Registered as Indian nationals and issued a separate passport on the strength of the passport of the Indian parent. A separate Affidavit (Affidavit-3) is required to be given by the Indian parent in addition to other documents.

12. Original Iqama to be shown

(*)All documents in Arabic should be accompanied by a typed English translation)

6.
Emergency Certificate
1. Application form –EAP(4)

2. Proof of Indian Citizenship in original

3. Two Indian nationals holding valid Passport/Iqama who can stand Guarantee (Affidavit 5)

4. Confirmed Air India Ticket Issued by M/s Kanoo Travel, Madinah Road, Jeddah

5. Four identical latest colour photographs of size 35 mm x 45 mm

6. Fees SR 20/-

Please note that normally the validity of Emergency Certificate can not be extended.

7.
Renewal of short term validity Passport (Issued by other Passport issuing authorities)
1. Application form for Misc. Service EA(P)-2

2. Current Passport

3. Copy of current passport

4. Copy of Iqama

5. One latest colour photograph size 35 mm x 45 mm

Fees : Telex charges SR. 50/ for obtaining clearance from issuing authority.

(The original Passport has to be presented for inspection at the time of application which will be returned to the applicant. On receipt of clearance, which may take between six weeks to three months, the original passport would be again needed for extending validity of the Passport.)

Change of Address

1. Application form for Misc.Service EA(P)-2

5. Proof of new address like telephone bill, electricity bill, sale-deed, etc.

6. One latest colour photograph size 35 mm x 45 mm

7. Fees SR 40/-

ATTESTATION :
This Consulate undertakes attestation of documents like Sponsorship Declarations, Academic Certificates, Degrees and Diplomas, marriage and birth certificates etc. issued in India, as also the power of attorney executed by Indian nationals in Saudi Arabia. The documents to be attested must be presented in original with a photocopy and signed, where necessary, before the Consular Officer, who will satisfy himself about the identity of the signatory/ executant/deponent on the basis of passport.
