natural heritage. At present there are 53 National Parks and 247 Sancturies.Project Tiger
was set up for the protection of the environment of the various species also come under
the category of National Parks.The total area of India's protected reserve is 90,000 sq
Kms which constitutes only 3% of the India's land area and 12% of the total forest
